Home > Support UKYP

If you are aged 11 to 18 (inclusive) and want to make a difference on issues affecting children and young people, the best way you can show your support for the work of UKYP is to vote for your MYP, and even consider standing as a candidate yourself! For more information about UKYP in you area click here.

There are five easy ways you can support UKYP. Your support will help us with our research and development projects, enable us to influence policy decisions, to disseminate essential information and resources, and to ensure children and young people themselves can be involved. Your gift can make a difference.
1. Make A Donation
Did you know that you can now donate to UKYP online? By going to www.justgiving.com/ukyp you are able to give a regular monthly donation or make a one-off contribution. Increased funds will enable us to support more young people to use their energy and passion to change the world for the better.
2. Sponsor Andy!
On 15th April 2007, UKYP Chief Executive Andy Hamflett will be running the Paris Marathon. He is aiming to raise £5,000 for UKYP. Please show your support by sponsoring Andy. Go to www.justgiving.com/andyrunsparis
Or why not create your own fundraising page? It’s a great way to raise money for UKYP. You could do anything from a sponsored walk to a sponsored silence. For more details go to: www.justgiving.com
3. Buy UKYP Merchandise
Stuck for gift ideas? Don’t know what to buy friends and family for Christmas? Then why not take a visit to the UKYP online store? Simply go to: www.equisto.co.uk/ukyp - Here you can purchase a UKYP t-shirt, UKYP baseball cap, UKYP coffee mug, UKYP mouse pad, UKYP bikini and a UKYP teddy bear! A percentage of the money you spend will be donated to UKYP.
4. Shop Online
Like to shop online? Then why not make your purchases through the CharityShoppers website? You can buy goods from many major retailers and a percentage of the sale will be donated to UKYP. Go to: www.charityshoppersukyp.com
5. Use EveryClick
There is a new search engine called everyclick, which gives 50% of its money to charity. Using everyclick as your search engine does not cost you any money, but every time you use it you raise money for UKYP.
The everyclick site also allows schools and businesses to sign up as supporters. Again, all they have to do is use everyclick as their search engine and they will automatically be raising funds for us at absolutely no cost to themselves. Each search is the equivalent of 2p raised for UKYP.
So contact your Head Teacher or the Head of IT, or ask your friends, family or colleagues if they would be willing to suggest the idea in their work place on our behalf. Just go to: www.everyclick.com/uk/ukyp/354387/0 - then click on the links in the top right hand corner to either set it as your home page or add it to your favourites.
